Are you interested in expanding your creativity using photography and fabrics to create unique collage work?

Spend an art making weekend in the magical village of Mineral de Pozos, a designated "pueblo mágico" (magic village) of Mexico.

Immerse yourself in majestic desert landscapes, stunning ruins, and the vibrant cultural life of central Mexico.

Experiment with photography, fabric, printing photos onto fabric, layering and manipulating images and materials both by hand and via the computer

Experience Prehispanic musical demonstrations and sound healing therapy

Photographer/artist Ri Anderson and fiber artist Beverly Sky are joining forces to offer their unique perspectives on collage making.

Ri Anderson is a distinguished artist, photographer, printmaker and designer. In her work she combines photography, photoshop collage and giclee printing to create two and three dimensional original art.
​
Fiber artist Beverly Sky is opening up her studio in Mineral de Pozos to teach the art of fabric collage on canvas. Participants use their own photographs, commercial fabrics or internet to research images and will be able to print on cotton and silk using inkjet printers to create unique fabric paintings on canvas.

LOCATION: Mineral de Pozos, or affectionately called Pozos, is located in the central high desert plains, 45 minutes northeast of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato and accessed via the airports in Queretaro and Leon, Mexico.

laptop with photoshop installed (we can advise you on how to install a free 30 day trial if you do not have photoshop)
camera (can be any kind: phone, digital SLR, point and shoot)
printed materials/fabrics
